Matrix Concepts confirms tie-up with Taiwan's Changhua to build hospital in Bandar Sri Sendayan

 

SEREMBAN: Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd, a master developer of Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negri Sembilan, will partner Taiwan's Changhua Christian Hospital group to build a specialists hospital in the township.

Matrix Concepts founder and group managing director Datuk Lee Tian Hock said once negotiations are completed in the next six months, construction will begin and it will take up to three years.

"Matrix and Changhua will form a joint venture company but we are still discussing on the equity stake," Lee told reporters here after inking their partnership with Changhua Christian Hospital (Taiwan) superintendent Dr Kuo Shou Jue.

Lee declined to reveal investment details but sources said the hospital will cost RM200 million with a total of 400 beds.

This will be the first hospital for the 2,118ha township to serve the current population of more than 30,000 residents as well as future residents which is set to thrive to over 120,000 people by 2022.

The 400-bed hospital is part of the long term development of Bandar Sri Sendayan which is fast rising playing host to residential, commercial, industrial, an international school and the TUDM (Royal Malaysian Airforce) new training and academia centre.

Changhua Christian Hospital was established in 1896 in central Taiwan offering more than 3,200 beds dishing out the full range of specialty departments with highly qualified specialists in medicine, nursing, medical technology, and management in Taiwan, China, Austria and Cambodia.
