Eco World: Liew not keyshareholder

By BUSINESS TIMES
KUALA LUMPUR: Eco World Development Group Bhd has clarified that Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin, who was appointed as a non- independent and non-executive director last month, should not be regarded as a substantial shareholder of Eco World as he does not have any interest in the company.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Eco World also said that Liew, who was SP Setia Bhd’s former chief executive officer, is also not deemed interested in the 88.78 million shares in the company held by his son, Liew Tian Xiong.
The younger Liew is a director of Eco World.
