Elderly Couple Found Hanged In Rasah Jaya, Flat

SEREMBAN, July 20 (Bernama) -- An elderly couple was found hanged in their unit of the Rasah Jaya Flats here last night, a police spokesman said Sunday.

One of them was found hanged in a room and the other in the kitchen by the police who came after they were alerted at 9.30 pm by a neighbour who detected a foul odour coming from the unit, he said.

"It is learnt that the couple was last seen by neighbours on Thursday," he said.

The spokesman said the bodies had been sent to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital here and police were trying to determine the cause of death.
