TELEKOM Malaysia Bhd (TM) has teamed up with UEM Sunrise Bhd and Iskandar Investment Bhd to set up a joint venture, offering smart services in Nusajaya, Johor.
The pact is one of the areas that was identified in the collaboration agreement between TM, UEM Sunrise and IIB signed in 2012 for the development and management of the smart and connected Nusajaya.

TM will be playing a role towards nation-building by promoting a localised partnership ecosystem to encourage participation and capability development of local vendors.
In addition, the company will continuously explore opportunities to capture new development project in Nusajaya area for smart services.
“We understand the need for state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure and most advanced ICT services as it will definitely be a pulling factor for direct investments,” TM group chief executive officer Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa said in a statement yesterday.
