SEREMBAN - The state government will impose water rationing in three districts in Negri Sembilan's south-eastern region from Sept 22 due to the prolonged dry weather.
The exercise will affect some 15,000 households in the districts of Rembau, Tampin and Gemencheh.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said for a start, the rationing would be imposed on alternate days for a month.
"We have no choice as the water level at the Gemencheh dam has fallen to a dangerous level," he said.
