SEREMBAN: A family of four escaped death when their car was dragged by a lorry for 10 metres in an accident at KM262.7 southbound of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) near the Seremban toll plaza.
Seremban 2 Fire and Rescue Station operations officer Md Munawir Md Yusof said the department received a call at 7.12am and arrived at the scene about 10 minutes later.
"We found a woman in her 40s trapped in the driver's seat. Firefighters took about 20 minutes to pull her out. Three other passengers - an elderly woman (driver's mother) in her 60s and two children, a five-year-old boy and two-year-old girl (driver's children) were rescued by the public," he said.
A police spokesman said the incident occurred when a Honda Civic car driven by the woman hit the rear of a 10 tonne-lorry which was loaded with bricks and lost control.
All the victims who suffered injuries to their faces and bodies were taken to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital. — Bernama
