Maybe not many people know… Tow Kee Hakka Mee in Seremban actually started more than 80 years ago, and it’s now run by the third generation! Most people just come, makan, and go, but behind that simple bowl of noodles is a lot of history and tradition. The noodles are still handmade daily — no machine, all by hand — giving it that bouncy, “QQ” texture that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Also, it’s not just the noodles that make it special. The soy sauce blend is their secret weapon — salty but not too overpowering, and got this slight umami kick that makes you want to sapu everything. Some locals say the taste never change since they were kids. And if you notice, they never add too many toppings — just char siew and some minced pork. That’s because they want the noodles to shine on their own.
Don’t play-play, this small stall actually attracts foodies from KL and even overseas visitors who read about it online. But true Seremban folks know — go early lah if you don’t want to queue. It usually sells out before noon.
Simple but solid — that’s Tow Kee for you. A true Seremban legend!
