NILAI, June 24 (Bernama) -- A carpet factory at the Nilai 3 Commercial Centre here was destroyed in a fire at 6.30 pm Wednesday.
Negeri Sembilan Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (Operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said efforts to put out the fire at the factory, measuring 3,048 square metres, was still ongoing at 9.50 pm tonight.
"The size of the factory and the abundant inflammable materials, mostly, cloth, delayed efforts to put out the fire.
"So far, no one is injured," he said when contacted by Bernama.
Other than the Nilai Fire and Rescue Station, work to put out the fire was also assisted by the Mantin, Rembau, Seremban and Seremban 2 Fire and Rescue Stations.
"The cause of the fire and estimated losses are still being investigated," said Ahmad Mukhlis.
