Feasibility study soon for Kuala Pilah-East Coast highway

The government has shortlisted three companies for a feasibility study on the Kuala Pilah-East Coast Highway, said Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

He said the tolled highway would provide and alternative route from the state to the east coast states in the peninsula.

“The federal government has in principle given its nod for the consruction of this highway which will be included in the 12th Malaysia Plan.”

The highway will bypass the town of Kuala Pilah and ease congestion on Jalan Seremban-Kuala Pilah once completed.

Meanwhile, there will be a temporary road closure along the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) in stages from now until 8am on Sunday to make way for road pavement rehabilitation works.
